John Mengelson joined NEST’s Board of Directors in 2013 bringing over 50 years of experience in the Facilities industry. After teaching for a couple of years John began his 33-year career in Facilities Service at Sears, Roebuck and Co. managing a national workforce of nearly 2,000 technicians and 50 field managers. His responsibilities included waste and recycle management, utility management, supply & demand, electric/electronic repair, remodeling, exterior maintenance, housekeeping and other related responsibilities. If it was DARK-DIRTY-BROKEN OR NOISEY John and his team had the responsibility. That experience gave him a good understanding of the opportunities associated with the “Big/Small Box” retailer and their Facility Service partners.

After retiring from Sears in 2003 John founded John G. Mengelson, Inc., and worked as a business consultant to over 30 Retailers and 40 Service Providers. John understands what it takes to make the client satisfied and how to get the most out of your business organization within an affordable competitive budget.

An internationally known speaker, lecturer and author, John is a true believer of “Measured Customer Satisfaction” and understands the organizational activities required to meet the demands of the CUSTOMER while getting the job done!
