Gloucester City, NJ– Giving back with the hope of fostering positive change is a belief that is deeply rooted in the culture of NEST. Since its beginning in 1994, NEST annually contributes to a number of local and nationally recognized charities. This year marks the 2nd year NEST has made a $10,000 fundraising commitment to the MS Society.
In addition, NEST has supported 12 amazing charities throughout 2015 such as Samaritan Hospice and Healthcare, Little Rock Foundation, Children’s Miracle Network, Friends of Foster Children, The Road Ahead Foundation and Boys & Girls Clubs of Gloucester County. However, the largest fundraising efforts have been in support of The National Multiple Sclerosis Society which affects 2.3 million people worldwide. Though doctors have identified contributing factors in the distribution of the disease, there is still no cure. “Each year our team here at NEST grows larger and more successful as we support the National MS Society in searching for a cure! Without our employees none of this would be possible.” says Rob Almond, CEO.
From April to October, NEST employees worked to successfully surpass their corporate goal by raising a total of $14,185.55. The team achieved this impressive total by participating in weekly fundraising events such as raffles, MS hoodie sales and “Dress Down Mondays”. Team NEST also participated in two out-of-office events, MS MUCKFEST and Bike MS City to Shore Ride which attracts more than 6,000 bike riders traveling from Cherry Hill to Ocean City, NJ in support. These two events proved to be NEST’s most successful fundraising efforts as they drew $6,000 in proceeds that contributed to the overall total.
