The NEST Executive Masters of Business Administration (EMBA) Endowed Scholarship will soon be available to students at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA. Rob Almond, Jr., an alumnus of the university’s MBA program, created the scholarship to inspire and support the next generation of senior business professionals. The endowment is a new addition to the partnership between NEST and Saint Joseph’s University that began in 2014 when NEST joined the Erivan K. Haub School of Business bi-annual Business Policy Competition as a sponsor and has since added opportunities including the NEST Summer Co-Op Program.
“We live in an age of big data and the recurring theme across all sectors of business is the need for professionals to capture, analyze and generate meaningful business insights from all of this information,” says Rob Almond, Jr., CEO of NEST. “My hope is to give students a chance to bring their talent to the world to make a positive impact on the way companies do business, today and in the future.”
“There is no greater endorsement of the value of an SJU degree than the funding of scholarships by our successful alumni who wish to pay it forward,” says President Dr. Mark C. Reed. “SJU and our students are fortunate to have true supporters like Rob and connections with innovating companies such as NEST.”
The purpose of the NEST EMBA Endowed Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to individuals accepted into the one-year or 20-month Executive MBA program. The SJU EMBA program is a rigorous, accelerated program designed for students with at least five years of professional experience and an undergraduate degree in business. Surrounded by accomplished students and peers, the Executive MBA classroom format is energetic, collaborative and designed to stimulate critical thinking and engage in dynamic discussion.
