Gloucester City, NJ–On Friday, May 6th, NEST will support the Erivan K. Haub School of Business bi-annual Business Policy Competition for the fourth consecutive semester. Rob Almond, CEO and former SJU MBA alum, has been a guest judge and sponsor of this competition since the Fall of 2014.
NEST, a multi-facility management firm is surely a familiar face on the Saint Joseph’s University campus. Throughout the year NEST participates in various events such as the spring and fall Career Fair, Business Policy Competition, EMBA CEO Intervention program and Saint Joseph’s Alumni Association.
The leadership at NEST believes the key to success is investing in talented employees and supporting their continuous growth. Through the Business Policy Competition and the NEST Summer Co-Op program NEST has first access to some of the newest graduating recruits and talented underclassman. “Each semester the competition gets tougher because of such compelling arguments that students bring to the floor” says Almond. “We currently have numerous employees that are St. Joe’s graduates and we look forward to supporting the continuation of a great community of students and business professionals”.
Saint Joseph’s University offers Business Policy as a mandatory capstone course which integrates the various functions of business in the development and implementation of business strategy. Throughout the semester undergraduate students examine cases involving policy formulation and decision making using an integrative approach across the following disciplines; Accounting, Finance, Management and Marketing. Students from each class compete for a chance to present their proposed business plan to top industry executives.
