Jim Porreca joined NEST in 2007 and has filled a variety of roles during his tenure at NEST including Operations Team Member, Account Manager, Specialty Services Manager and Director of Trade Services before his promotion to Director of Estimating and Construction. Jim offers leadership and operations expertise as it relates to services including construction, electrical, HVAC, landscaping, plumbing, power washing and snow removal.
Jim brings many years of experience in the construction business where he gained the on-site knowledge used to manage key relationships and make strategic decisions. Before joining NEST, Jim worked with retail franchise owners including Dunkin Donuts and Subway delivering plumbing, electrical drywall and roofing services. In addition to retail clients, he also worked with residential customers on kitchen and bathroom remodels. While at NEST, he works to not only give his clients the best service at the best value, but his goal is to build solid vendor relationships and grow a team that takes ownership of their client’s projects and budgets. Jim brings his extensive knowledge of project management to his department that he successfully expanded by over 500%. He currently manages over 400 service calls per day and oversees five Department Managers and team of 60. Jim has been the recipient of Manager of year, Sales Achievement Award and Department of the year. Not only has Jim developed and mentored many of the company’s current department leaders, his team was honored by several large retailers over the last five years.
Jim is a native of South Philadelphia and was voted the Best Athlete of the Year in 2003 by the Philadelphia Review and was recruited to Widener University as a 3-sport athlete playing Baseball, Football and Ice Hockey. He is a graduate of Penn State where he graduated with honors and obtained a BS in Business Management. When not at work Jim still enjoys playing baseball, basketball, football, and ice hockey, but enjoys most spending time with his wife and daughter.
